El Capitan – an overview
The new operating system OS X El Capitan is now available to download. Apple has concentrated on improving performance, and devices will feel faster with the new system, but there are also a few new features to improve the user-experience:
• The cursor grows temporarily larger if you rattle the mouse, making it easier to locate.
• Open documents on screen are easier to see when reduced.
• You can see more than one open app at a time.
• Spotlight allows more flexibility for search terms.
• The Safari window can be moved around the screen and lets you pin your favourites to the menu bar.
Check your device can run El Capitan first though. I can help with that but if your machine can run OS X 10 Yosemite, it should be alright.
